Australian award-winning designer Mike Cleaver needed a website overhaul.
The challenge here was to develop a site that was able to display beautiful large imagery and also being able to act as a functional portfolio of his work.
Illuminate skin and makeup studio needed a website that could inform their clients about the services they offer, make appointments and also be able to purchase beauty products.
Local business Tasmanian Lavender gifts already had an e-commerce website using Joomla and hikashop but wanted to convert this Internet site into a shopify content managed site.
I was able to help them transfer the contents from the old website to the new platform minimizing the amount of work required to establish their new site.
I was approached by the Hobart underwater hockey championships to build a website that would count down to the world championships that were being held in Hobart in 2017. It needed to have PDFs available for download and link to an event management system (external to the site). It needed to feed information from their social media pages and provide information about the championships and Hobart in general.
Mark Wassell Landscape Photography website
Mark has had a number of websites over the years and decided to freshen up his online presence. Mark takes beautiful landscape photographs and wanted a design that would be minimalistic and allow it images to speak for themselves.
I was contacted by the Multicultural Council of Tasmania (MCOT) - http://mcot.org.au/ - with a request to build a website that could be used to promote Harmony Week Tasmania.
MCOT had some beautiful illustrations, with a series of images entitled “I am Tasmanian” and the brief was to assemble a website that would promote the philosophy of “our diversity is our strength” but also allow visitors to register events and be able to view the events that were being held during Harmony Week around the state.
As we were working around a calendar event we had some very clear deadlines, something I always enjoy. It was also my first Tasmanian Government website – hopefully the first of many.
Richard Bennett has a very complex website. It contains a blog (easyblog) linked with social media, and a eCommerce module (hikashop) that manages the sales for his 12000 products!
Each year Richard photographs the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and each year our aim is to have his images ready for sale as quickly as we can.
I have build 3 different websites for Philip Kuruvita over the years. Although not ready for a redesign, his site needed to be migrated to the latest Joomla CMS (Joomla3) and we needed to retire the eCommerce extension called Virtumart and swap it for Hikashop (a very capable and powerful eCommerce solution for Joomla
This project was in collaboration with PR Consultant Claire McLaren.
Claire crafted the content of the site for Plane Tree Studio (hand made paper products) and I configured and populated the shopify site. The advantage of shopify is that its a very easy to use environment therefore no coding knowledge is required.
Authorised Civil Celebrant - Di Strong needed a new website for her business. She wants something that looks professional, easy to use and that remains beautiful in all devices.
If you are reading this – you have seen the results of this rebranding job – It’s my own rebranding. For over 10 years I have had various websites, all concentrating on various aspects of my business, photography, websites, publishing and in an effort to make my life a little less complicated and more efficient.
