The Gourman international awards announced that seafood everyday had won two categories:
Best women Chef cookbook
Best Fish and seafood cookbook
This is Philip Kurivita's seventh book and second in the series 'from the menu'.
It's a beautiful guide and recipe book for some of the best and most popular restaurants in Hobart. Designed and put together in InDesign by his wife Vicky - the books look stunning.
Just a small blog to note that during the 2016 Australian professional photography awards, I picked up a couple of silver awards.
Both images were taken as commission work for Marinova, a Hobart-based biotech company who have been working with for 10 years now and have always supported me and my photography in exchange for lots of beautiful photographs of their seaweed species Undaria.
This was a nice little job that simply involved promoting in air B&B property with quality images reflecting the comfort of the location.
I shoot lots of houses, mostly new ones or recently renovated, to this was an opportunity to work with a house that is frequently lived in.
Janice Suttons unique book Garlic Feast has received a couple of international awards.
Garlic feast secured the award 'best self published book of the year Australia' and 'Australian cookbook of the year' - well done Janice it's an epic book and these are epic awards.
This is the first year the my book design has received any sort of accolade other than selling really well for their clients!
Eloise decided she wanted to author a second recipe book. This book was to be about seafood.
Having worked together on her previous book the real food for kids cookbook last year, this was a pretty easy project. We had already figured out our workflow and the way that we liked to work together.
Using some of the same design choices but developing others we decided to publish a book and a slightly different format to the usual recipe books available. We used beautifully textured matte art paper for the pages. It was a softcover book but the cover was textured in the whole book had a beautiful wraparound photograph that Ellio had taken from the tessellated pavement's in Tasmania.

I was approached by the Hobart underwater hockey championships to build a website that would count down to the world championships that were being held in Hobart in 2017. It needed to have PDFs available for download and link to an event management system (external to the site). It needed to feed information from their social media pages and provide information about the championships and Hobart in general.

Mark has had a number of websites over the years and decided to freshen up his online presence. Mark takes beautiful landscape photographs and wanted a design that would be minimalistic and allow it images to speak for themselves.

Ellaandfriends are a photography studio in Melbourne. As well as offering studio based and location portrait photography they have been making coffee table books about dogs and their owners.
